CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH OUR TOY DRIVE & FIRE ENGINE PARADE
December 11-15 (Parade Dates)
Join Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue (TMFR), along with the Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation and the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 2487 in celebrating the holiday season and supporting our children in need by participating in the 1st Annual Toy Drive, to benefit Renown Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House, as well as other local charity organizations.
TMFR will lead a short parade over five days throughout the Truckee Meadows with a decorated engine accompanied by Santa Claus to bring attention to the Toy Drive, and deliver Holiday cheer! The procession will include other first responder vehicles.
Each parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. concluding at approximately 8:00 p.m., and will serve the following routes:
Thursday, December 11: Sun Valley Route
Station 45, 5841 Sun Valley Blvd., Sun Valley
Friday, December 12: Spanish Springs Route
Station 46, 500 Rockwell Blvd., Spanish Springs
Saturday, December 13: Cold Springs Route
Station 42, 3680 Diamond Peak Dr., Reno
Sunday, December 14: South Reno Route
Station 36, 13500 Thomas Creek Rd., Reno
Monday, December 15: Verdi/Mogul Route
Station 40, 10201 W 4th St. Mogul
Following the conclusion of each parade, the engine will end at the station serving the respective communities (address noted above). Residents can drop off a donated, unwrapped toy or gift card and visit each station for hot chocolate and a chance to meet with Firefighters until 8 p.m.
Bring your family and friends for a fun evening!
Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite first responder or superhero.
TOY DRIVE THROUGH
December 15
Through December 15, 2025, Residents can donate any new toy, still in its original package, at any TMFR Fire Station or the Fire District’s Headquarters at 3663 Barron Way between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Plush toys cannot be accepted. And please consider providing gift cards for teen children, a group often overlooked during toy drives.
Donated toys are intended for children from birth to 18 years of age. In lieu of toy donations, the Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation will accept monetary donations.

FILL THE FIRE TRUCK EVENT
November 29-30, 9am to 5pm
TMFR Firefighters will be at the Walmart Supercenter, 5065 Pyramid Way, Sparks (Spanish Springs), BLACK FRIDAY weekend of November 29-30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Please help us fill up the fire truck by purchasing a toy during this time. Special thank you to Walmart for supporting this opportunity for our community.
