Board Governance

The Washoe County Commission also serves as the Board of Fire Commissioners. TMFPD is a political subdivision of the State of Nevada. The Fire District was created by Washoe County in accordance with NRS 474.460 and is governed by the Board of Fire Commissioners, who according to NRS 474.460 are the ex officio chairs of their respective Districts as the Board of Fire Commissioners.
