Contact UsReno, NV (March 11, 2025)—The Nevada Division of Forestry will conduct pile-burning operations at Galena Creek Regional Park through Friday, March 14. Burning began today, Tuesday, March 11.
Burning will begin each day in the morning about 9 a.m. and will be completed by 5 p.m.
Residents can expect smoke sightings, smoke drifting into the area and Mount Rose Highway, and night glows. Fire crews will remain on the burning operations overnight each day.
