Deputies versus Firefighters – 13th Annual Guns and Hoses golf tournament to benefit the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation

Reno, NV (April 17, 2025) –  The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office takes on the Truckee Meadows Fire Association IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) 2487 for a good cause when the 13th annual Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament tees off on Monday morning, April 21st, 2025, at the LakeRidge Golf Course in Reno.

Since 2013, this friendly golf competition has raised $274,922.45 to support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. This year is no different in the unbelievable community support displayed, having raised another $28,000 before the tournament even begins!

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue Interim Fire Chief Dale Way, NNCCF Executive Director Brigette Cole, and a pediatric cancer warrior family speaking to share words of encouragement and thanks. The shotgun start is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. This tournament could not be successful without the generous support of Duncan Golf Management, GGRM Law Firm and our 50+ community partners.
